How are you like my lawn? You might not have anything in common with my lawn. Then again, you might.
Yesterday I went to rake the edges of our lawn.
It had collected dead grass, pine needles, leaves and other debris over the winter.
At first glance, it didn’t look like there was any build up at all. But look what I raked out of it that piled up in the middle of the sidewalk!
It reminded me of how this can be so true with us too – with our skills, and especially our communications skills.
At a glance, it doesn’t look like we need polish. But if we take out a rake and a broom, what old habits have built up?
